Today you're going to start with some finger fitness!
It looks like it's going to be easy, but I found it quite hard.
Maybe my fingers are not fit enough!
Practise makes progression!
I hope you enjoy it.
Dave Brubeck is a composer. His Jazz quartet were very popular in the 1950's and 60's.
He liked to mix up classical music ideas with Jazz and African folk music.
His piece Unsquare Dance has an unusual pulse of 7.
Today we're going to be doing an activity on Unsquare Dance, but first we're going to practise counting in 7's.
We have already been practising counting in 7's with our 7's clapping game at school.
7's HAND CLAP GAME
Here is the clip to remind you, and teach you the parts that are tricky.
I think we did one of the parts a little differently.
You can tap it on the table or on your legs, like we did at school.
CHALLENGE - Do it in a round with someone else
