WARM UP DANCE



OLYMPIC FANFARE

Last week you made up sentences to create rhythms for your fanfare.

This week we are going to PLAY YOUR FANFARE


If you have a xylophone or keyboard at home you can use those.

HOW TO HAVE A XYLOPHONE of KEYBOARD AT HOME IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE!

Or

If you have an android phone or tablet you can look up virtual xylophone and see what FREE apps are available.

Or

MAKE YOUR OWN. You will need 3 bottles/glasses and a teaspoon.

Fill each with different levels of water.

Change the level of the water to match the pitch on the clip. Click here to get the right pitch.

You are going to need the sounds of D G B. Label them, put them in order D G B, and tap on them with a spoon to make the correct sound.

COMPOSE your fanfare.

Using the notes D G B put them in the grid that you created last week with your rhythm sentences, and then PLAY them on your TUNED INSTRUMENTS.

You could try playing my composition before you start your own.














EXTRA - MAKE IT EVEN BETTER

You could add some other instruments to build it up.

For example, you might like a drum roll at the beginning, or a crash of cymbals at the end, or shakers. Maybe build up sounds from quiet to loud.

Experiment and see what sounds you can make with homemade instruments, or any instruments that you have.

RECORD your FANFARE

I would love to hear your fanfare's. Maybe you could make one for the Johanna TV, or just do a sound recording and send it to your Class Rep on WhatsApp or Sharika.
