Y1 Music Lesson - Week 3 - 04.05.20

WARM UP

Let's start with a new warm up.

Join in with the actions and sing the chorus 'Let's Go Heroes!'

SUPERHERO RHYTHMS

Can you think of any Superheroes?

SAY and CLAP the names of all the Superheroes you can think of.

MAKE A PATTERN

Choose two Superheroes and clap their names one after the other, in a pattern.

For example,

Won-der Wo-man - Bat - man - Won-der Wo-man - Bat - man

Make up your own Superhero rhythm pattern.

ADD BODY PERCUSSION to your pattern. Give each Superhero a Body Percussion action.

Here are some ideas

Clap

Stamp

Pat knees

Pat chest

Click

Pat arms

Pat the floor

For example, I am going to say that for Wonderwoman I will pat the rhythm on my legs and for Batman I will clap the rhythm.

So my pattern will go like this

Won - der - Wo - man - Bat - Man - Won-der - wo - man - Bat - Man

Pat - Pat - Pat - Pat - Clap - Clap - Pat - Pat - Pat - Pat - Clap - Clap

NOW YOU DO YOURS

SPIDERMAN

PAT the Spiderman RHYTHM on your legs. Tap it in the same rhythm as it is sung
