EYFS MUSIC LESSON 25.03.20


BODY WARM UP

Stand up and stretch up really high, up on tiptoe and then relax down. Do this x4

SHAKE IT OUT

Stretch out your arms, shake your hands in front, to the side, behind, up high and down low.

Shake your left foot and then your right foot.

WARM UP YOUR VOICE

Say – Ho Ho Ho Ho in a deep Giants voice

Make the noise of a hen clucking – x4

Use your voice and make an Ooooh sound going up and and Aaaah sound going down.

Put them all together and say them one after the other. Repeat, so you get in the groove.


MOVE TO THE MUSIC

Standing on the spot see if you can do the movements in the clip.

If you have space you could move around the room.



LISTEN – LOUD and QUIET

ADULT – Use an empty ice cream tub, or take away tub with the lid on and a wooden or metal spoon. Use a drum if you have one.

Tap the tub making a LOUD and QUIET sounds, with a steady beat

Ask your child to...

Stamp like a giant for the loud sounds

Tiptoe like Jack when they hear the quiet sounds

Keep changing from LOUD to QUIET


PLAY

Pat on thighs with both hands and say FEE FI FO FUM then stop patting and say REST REST REST REST then repeat

Continue doing this until you get the hang of it.

Pat this pattern along to the music on the clip below

START when you hear the sticks click twice

Pat the pattern 3 times, and then stop when you hear the electric guitar and then start again when you hear the sticks click. Have fun!
